Z-Shield® (AL) is a wrap-around EMI shielding solution that provides exceptional shielding from damaging interference. The jacket is the PFR-8235, which is made of a flame-retardant polyurethane film. The material is RoHS compliant and is PVC-free for applications that prohibit PVC material. The jacket is abrasion resistant, chemical resistant, and UV resistant, yet lightweight at only 0.009” thick.

The SH1 shielding foil provides the best of EMI shielding. The SH1 is made of a bright finished aluminum foil that has a polyester film backing laminated to it. The shielding foil has a dielectric constant of 3.0 and tensile strength of 13,500 psi. The adhesive closure provides a secure, permanent seal around the components for complete 360-degree protection. Z-Shield® (AL) also offers an optional 15 AWG tin/copper drain wire for applications that need grounding.

Z-Shield® (AL) is perfect for applications that need a thin, lightweight solution, and will not experience any flexing or movement. If the application needs more flexibility, the Z-Shield® product line also offers products with EMI shielding cloths that can move without compromising the shielding performance. Z-Shield® (3250) features a corrosion-resistant EMI shielding cloth, while the Z-Shield® (5080) is equipped with a flame-retardant shielding cloth, and Z-Shield® (7200) has a non-magnetic shielding cloth for applications that require non-magnetic materials.

Z-Shield® (AL) is engineered for diameters ranging from 0.25” to 4” for round, flat, or rectangular components, with custom sizes and shapes available upon request. Z-Shield® (AL) has an operational temperature range of -65°F to 250°F (-54°C to 121°C).

ATTENUATION DATA WAS OBTAINED USING MIL-DTL-83528H (MODIFIED). TESTING WAS PERFORMED BY ACCREDITED, THIRD-PARTY EMI LABORATORIES.
